Physical Education

Physical Education is a key learning area and focuses explicitly on developing the movement skills and concepts students require to participate in physical activities with competence and confidence. Physical Education at OLSS is a fun and motivating experience, allowing all students to participate in a variety of learning experiences. Students are involved in basic and complex motor skills development and apply these skills through team games and activities. 

OLSS students participate at zone, regional and state competitions in athletics, cross country and swimming. They also compete with students from local schools in lawn bowls, basketball, netball, cricket. 

The PE program at OLSS also includes surfing sessions, open water swimming program and thanks to Sporting Schools Victoria, students also participate in sports clinics delivered by professional sports coaches including;  AFL Australia, Lacrosse, Melbourne Victory Soccer, Basketball Australia, Tennis Australia and Netball Victoria.
