Education in Faith

At Our Lady Star of the Sea, we nurture our students’ faith journey through prayer, learning, celebrating, belonging and reaching out.

Our Religious Education program is based on an inquiry proces using the resources provided through the Catholic Diocese of Sale’s publications; To Live in Christ Jesus and Sexuality Education in the Catholic School. This process provides students with opportunities to grow in knowledge and understanding of the Catholic tradition, through engagement in prayer, liturgy, masses and Sacraments.

Our teaching of Religious Education is designed to allow our students to appreciate the connection between their faith and their life, and to empower them to live out the Gospel values. This enables them to develop an awareness of and provides opportunities to participate in social justice activities within our local and global communities.
